Hi I'm Abby Shifflett and I am your 2024-2025 ERHS FCCLA President. I have been participating in FCCLA for 4 years now and taking yearly FCS classes! Outside of FCCLA I really enjoy playing sports and being active in my free time. I enjoy Softball and Indoor Track. My career goal is to become a professional hair dresser as a part time job and going to college to succeed in being a Physical Training as a full time job.

I am Alessa Hensley, and I am your 2024-2025 FCCLA Vice President. I have been in FCCLA for 6 years and have taken yearly FCS Classes. Outside of FCCLA I enjoy spending time with friends and family! I am thrilled to be your Vice President and look forward to watching our Chapter grow and change.

Hello! I've been in FCCLA for 6 years. I was elected as the 2024-2025

Virginia State Vice President of Programs. I have taken yearly FCS classes and looking forward to see the future of FCCLA within my Chapter, State and National Levels!!! When I am not doing FCCLA, I enjoy Track and Field , Pageants and helping my community. My goal for the future is to become an FCS Teacher and FCCLA Advisor.

Hi my name is Olivia. I am one of the Executive Council Members and have been involved with FCCLA for two years now. My favorite thing to do outside of FCCLA is practice softball and play with my two bunnies. After Highschool I plan to attend a 4 year college and get my bachelors degree to be an Ultrasound Technician.

Hi I am Reagan Nolen and I am one of the Executive Council Members. I started FCCLA in 6th-7th grade and had left for two years, but picked it back up this year as a Sophomore. I am so excited to be back and cannot wait for the future. Outside of FCCLA I like to draw, write and ride horses. In the future I want to attend an Art School for Design and Makeup Affect.

Hello I am Jaidyn Whetzel. I am one of the Executive Council Members. I have been participating in FCCLA for around 4 years. In my free time I enjoy being outside, working with farm animals and spending time with my friends. I plan on attending a 4 year college and then medical school to hopefully become a Pediatrician.

Hi! I am Ariana Stroop and I have been in FCCLA for 2 years. I love to do Musicals and read. I love to hang out with friends and family. I also love to help kids learn together. My career goals are to go college and become an Elementary School Teacher to help kids learn about education and themselves.

Hi I am Becca Green a Junior at ERHS. I have been taking FCCLA for 4 years. I am also apart of FFA and 4H. I enjoy spending my summers raising and showing both goats and dairy steers. I also ride horses and am getting more heavily into barrel racing. I have been apart of TECH Crew for th e ERHS Musical for 4 years now and a stage Manger for 3. I would love to become a large animal Veterinary Medicine

I am Avery Hilbert I have been involved with FCCLA for 5 years and have won several Star Events at State and National level. I am also actively involved with FFA.

CHAPTER ADIVSOR

Teaches: Intro to Foods, Child Development, Individual Development; FCCLA Sponsor - The Ultimate Leadership Experience!

Education: Bachelor of Science: Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, James Madison University; Master of Arts in Teaching: Secondary Education, James Madison University. Taught 16 years at Elkton Middle School before moving to East Rockingham High School.

Extracurricular Activities: I am a full time wife to Aaron & a mom to 2 beautiful girls - Karleigh & Reese. We spend our free time watching the girls compete in their different sports (Karleigh - softball and basketball, Reese - gymnastics and tball). We love watching Atlanta Braves baseball, JMU basketball & softball and UVA baseball. We are also a "fire family" as both Aaron and I are dedicated members of McGaheysville Volunteer Fire Company. We enjoy road trips and family vacations as often as time and finances allow!

Officer Duties:

President

Assist with completing agendas for all officers’ meetings and chapter meetings
Preside over meetings
Be organized and informed concerning chapter business and activities
Fill out Outstanding Chapter Award Application with guidance from Mrs. Stroop

Ex. Officio

Report on State and National FCCLA Events to the rest of the chapter officers & our chapter.
Post events on social media to help keep our chapter informed
Take pictures at activities throughout the year & get them to Mrs. Stroop
Fill out the National Program application for your classes designated program.

1st Vice President

Assist the president with all of his/her duties
Contact officers for meetings and other deadlines
Coordinate members and officers to get pictures of ALL events
Chair “Fabulous Member of the Month” recognition

Take pictures at activities throughout the year & get them to Mrs. Stroop

All Officers

Attend all officer & chapter meetings
Be actively involved- check in with Mrs. Stroop weekly
Compile Program of Work with Mrs. Stroop & assistance from all officers
Have a positive attitude about each other and FCCLA in general – which includes how you talk about it to others and what actions you demonstrate regarding FCCLA
Do what is asked of you as soon as you can. Ask for help if you need it.
Remember that FCCLA is fun and enjoy the work you do!! (You ran for office for a reason…please be the positive example you expect from others.)
